Cryptography Key Exchange Protocol ECDH: Security Demo using NXP Semiconductor’s Crypto Hardware IP: HSE (& S32K344 MCU)

Security Solution’s to showcase the working of Cryptography Key Exchange protocol ECDH using NXP Semiconductor’s S32K344 MCU and HSE Peripheral names as Hardware Security Engine (HSE).

This solution’s demonstrated how HSE peripheral of S32K344 MCU, performs the asymmetric crypto cipher’s like ECDH to establish the secret key between 2 embedded nodes for secure communication between them.

Features of this solution:

  1. 1) Embedded Communication Over CAN FD protocol sending about 64 bytes of data over interrupts. It can also be demonstrated over Automotive Ethernet.
  2. 2) Sitronics ST7789 LCD Screen over SPI protocol using DMA.
  3. 3) Usage of HSE Crypto Peripheral to use crypto operations.

HSE is a Cryptographic Hardware accelerator for performing cryptographic operations in automotive semiconductor chips of  @NXPsemi  S32K Automotive MCU.

It has features to do asymmetric/symmetric/hash alogs and key management techniques, so as to build safe and secure automotive applications to prevent the cyber-attacks on vehicles.

We at Gettobyte are specializing in developing the software stacks and Hardware Products for Security application using Semiconductor chips like that of NXP Semiconductor S32K.
